How a documentary gets made (and what’s next)

Hi Reader,

Have you ever watched a documentary or a series on Netflix or Magnolia Network and thought, “Wow, how did they make this?”

We’ll tell you how - they got funding.

Most documentaries or series are made on their own and then pitched or sold to a larger network for distribution.

(There are definitely times when the studio produces the content themselves, but this isn’t the case most of the time.)

Why are we telling you this?

Because we want to make more homesteading content like this!

We believe more people can and should be homesteading, and that the time is right in our country and culture to make some noise.

By buying The Homestead Documentary, you’re funding more projects to spread the message and principles of homesteading.

That could be a Season 3 of The Homestead Documentary. Maybe it’s a full length movie. Maybe it’s a network of homesteading shows. Who knows?

The future is wide open with possibility. If you want to see more homesteading content out in the world, buy Season 2 of The Homesteading Documentary and share it with your friends.

Your purchase will make more of this work possible.

Blessings and Mason Jars,
Melissa and Carrie

P.S. Tomorrow is the last day to buy Season 2, so don’t wait! Click here to get Season 2 (and Season 1 is included for free, plus over $400 of bonus products from the homesteaders featured in the documentary!)
